The No. 1 University of Mary Washington men's soccer team drew even at two goals apiece with Johns Hopkins on Wednesday night in Baltimore, Md.
The Eagles fell behind on a penalty in the 24th minute, before
Sammy Amorose tied it in the 33rd minute, then
Jared Dubose scored a go-ahead goal inn the 69th minute, but Hopkins was able to find the equalizer in the 88th minute.
The two teams took a 1-1 tie heading into the half as UMW recorded 12 shots -- five of which were on goal -- while Hopkins had recorded just four shots of its own. In the second half, UMW kept the offensive pressure up as it took 15 shots -- six on goal -- holding Hopkins to just four more shots.
For Amorose, it was his eighth goal of the season, which now puts him in a tie in ninth place in the country in goals. Dubose, meanwhile, netted his second after scoring in a 3-2 victory over then No. 9 Rowan.
The Eagles outshot the Bue Jays, 27-8, leading in corners, 10-1, as well.

Freddy Rogers recorded three saves on the day in all 90 minutes of action.
The Eagles are back in action on Saturday afternoon with a matchup with Messiah. First touch is set for 1 p.m. on the Battleground Soccer Stadium.
