The University of Mary Washington volleyball team defeated Averett University, 3-1, on Friday evening in Newport News, Va., to improve to 13-15 on the season. Game scores were 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 25-16.

Senior Ally Fletcher led a balanced offensive attack with 12 kills, while senior Chloe Crosen added 11, and junior Avery Gallahue nine. Seniors Emily Flamm and Lauren Foley each scored three service aces, and Fletcher and Gallahue each posted four total blocks.

Foley led with 20 assists while senior Brenna Campbell added 16and senior Hannah Livermon led with 20 digs, while sophomore Sydney AIken added 14.

UMW will close the regular season on Saturday in a match against Berry College at Chrisopher Newport, at 3:00 p.m.
