The University of Mary Washington volleyball team overcame a slow start to remain competitive throughout, but ended with a 3-0 loss at Christopher Newport University on Thursday evening, to slip to 12-15 on the season. Games scores were 25-12, 26-24, 25-22.

Chloe Crosen led the Eagles with 10 kills against three errors, while senior
Ally Fletcher scored seven kills and senior
Emily Flamm six, against one error. Seniors
Lauren Foley (15) and
Brenna Campbell (nine) combined for 24 assists, and senior
Sarah Moore scored 15 digs, while senior
Hannah Livermon added 13 digs.
UMW will return to Newport News on Friday afternoon to face Averett University at 4:00 p.m.
