The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a 3-0 decision from visiting Marymount University on Wednesday evening at Ron Rosner Arena to improve to 10-10 on the season. Game scores were 25-12, 25-22, 25-17.

The Eagles jumped on top early in the first game and cruised after opening up the lead after advancing to 15-10, scoring 10 of the last 12 points of the frame. In the second, getting to 25 proved more difficult, as the Saints battled close throughout, and the Eagles completed the sweep by extending a close third game near the end.

Senior Chloe Crosen led the Eagles with 10 kills against two errors in 23 attempts, while sophomore Libby Potter added eight kills against three errors in 18 attempts.Avery Gallahue and Ally Fletcher each scored six kills against one error in 12 attempts.

Senior Lauren Foley scored 22 assists, with junior Brenna Campbell adding 12. Senior Emily Flamm led with five blocks, and Potter led with eight digs.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, when they host Christopher Newport University at noon and Salisbury University at 6:00 p.m.
