The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team drew a scoreless tie a Catholic University on Wednesday night in Washington, D.C., to move to 9-4-4 on the season.

Boh defenses proved stout in the opening half, with the Eagles holding a slim 5-4 edge in shots, and the Cardinals gaining four faves and UMW three. After 90 scoreless minutes, he Eagles opened up the offense a bit, outshooting the hosts, 8-3, in the final 45 minutes, but neither team could find the back of the net.

In all, UMW led in shots, 13-7, while a 6-1 edge in corner kicks (5-0 in the second half). Junior goalkeeper Adriana Thompson made five saves on the day in turning in the clean sheet.

The Eagles will close the regular season on Saturday, when they visit 18th ranked Johns Hopkins University at 6:00 p.m.
