The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team opened the 2023-24 campaign on Saurday and Sunday by hosting Longwood, George Mason, and Johns Hopkins in he UMW Kickoff Classic.

The Eagles finished 6-9 in doubles against GMU, Longwood, and Johns Hopkins. The highlight in doubles was Rishi Charan Shankar and Peter Leese with wins over GMU, Longwood, and JHU #1 teams, 3-0.

UMW went 12-19 in singles. Highlights were three freshman – Evan Fisher went 2-0 on day 1 and 2-1 on weekend. Albert Vladimirskiy went 2-0 on day 1 and 2-1 on weekend. Jack Riordan went 2-1 on weekend.

The Eagles will be back in action next weekend at Navy.
