Biography

Outstanding defender who emerged through her freshman season in 2004 and continued to dominate as a sophomore a year ago.

2005: Earned first team All-CAC honors after starting every game at defender... Shut down some of the top scorers in the CAC and nation.

2004: Played in all 21 games as a freshman... Scored the Eagles’ clinching penalty kick in a shootout in the NCAA Tournament third round against seventh-ranked Ohio Wesleyan University.

Up Close: Margaret Mary Vaccaro is the daughter of Francis and Vincent Vaccaro... Attended Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA, where she played soccer and softball, ran track, and swam... MVP of high school team... National Honor Society... One of seven children... Enjoys birdwatching... Two of her older sisters, Rebecca and Rachel, were named as CAC Player of the Year as defenders at UMW... Undecided on major.
