Biography

Outstanding marking back who will again key the Eagle defensive unit.

2005: Played in all 17 games, netting one goal against Gallaudet on a corner kick... Continued to shine defensively, and was named second team All-CAC.

2004: The Eagles’ most consistent defender throughout the season, she was named third team all-region and first team All-Capital Athletic Conference after UMW allowed just two field goals in ten conference games through the CAC Tournament... Started 19 games, missing two games with injury.

Up Close: Kristina Leigh Ashwell is the daughter of Ronald and Donna Ashwell... Attended Madison High School in Vienna, VA, where she played soccer and field hockey... All-district in both sports... Team captain for both sports... Scholar Athlete... Honor roll... Favorite sports team is the Washington Redskins... Education major.
