Biography

JUNIOR (2008)
Played in all 18 games... Scored five goals from her defender position... Netted a pair of goals in win over Hood College... Also scored against Wesley College, Marymount University, and Greensboro College... Collected a career-high six ground balls in win over Marymount... Scored four caused turnovers in CAC Tournament win over the Saints... Grabbed 44 ground balls, 36 draw controls, and caused 22 turnovers, emerging as a top defensive standout for UMW.
 
SOPHOMORE (2007)
Played in 18 games with one goal and one assist... Saw action in midfield and defense.
 
FRESHMAN (2006)
Showed flashes of great things to come, playing in 14 games and scoring four goals and adding an assist... Had 10 ground balls and 12 draw controls as well.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Played field hockey and lacrosse at South Windsor High School... Was named second team all-state in field hockey, as well as CCC East All-Conference... Honor roll... Coached youth lacrosse.
 
PERSONAL
Emily Marie Gallugi is the daughter of Janet and Fred Gallugi... Her older sister ran cross country at Keene State, and her younger sister also plays lacrosse... Enjoys skiing... Favorite team is the Red Sox... Also played field hockey at UMW... Studied abroad in Rome in fall 2007... Business administration and pre-law major.
