University of Mary Washington

Annika Benson joins the University of Mary Washington women’s lacrosse coaching staff for the 2024-2025 season, bringing with her eight years of coaching experience in the Fredericksburg area. Throughout her career, she has worked with various high school and club teams, specializing in both lacrosse and volleyball.

Benson played lacrosse at Bridgewater College (VA) for five years and served as team captain during the 2023-2024 season. Her academic achievements include a Master’s Degree in Psychology, which she earned in 2024, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science, completed in 2023.

Annika is passionate about developing players' skills and fostering a positive team environment, and she looks forward to contributing to the success of UMW women’s lacrosse.
