Alley Odell will be entering her third season as assistant coach with the University of Mary Washington Eagles in 2024-25.

Odell came to Mary Washington prior to the start of the 2022-23 season where the Eagles went on to the Sweet 16 finishing with a 24-7 record. Coming off an exciting first year, Odell was part of the 2023-24 Coast-to-Coast Conference Women's Basketball Staff of the Year after assisting in the Eagles to a 16-9 record and conference championship game berth.

Prior to arriving at UMW, Odell was an assistant coach at Manchester University where she helped produce two HCAC Newcomer Team members, one second team All-HCAC, and one Honorable Mention All-HCAC two years in a row. In her two years with that program, the Spartans had 13 Academic All-HCAC accolades in the classroom. Odell’s title also included recruiting coordinator and Director of Intramurals. She took charge with recruiting, scouting, social media and arranging travel. Prior to arriving at Manchester University, Odell was at Bridgewater College. While at Bridgewater she assisted in all aspects of the program and during her time there the Eagles went 13-5 in the ODAC and recorded at 10-game winning streak. The Eagles secured the No. 3 seed in the ODAC Tournament. Odell helped coach the Co-Defensive player of the year in the ODAC.

Odell is a graduate of Deep Run HS in Richmond, VA and earned her bachelor’s degree from Concord University in Psychology and Social Work. Odell was also a member of the Basketball program from 2013-2017. She finished off her education with a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling – Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a Sports Management master’s certificate from Liberty University.
