The 25th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team scored a 7-0 victory over Virginia Wesleyan University on Friday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Courts. The Eagles close the regular season with a record of 12-6.
The Eagles scored three wins in doubles to score the point.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim gained a 6-0 win at one, and
Isabella Rotaru and
Sarah Sandoval Banuelos won at two, 6-0.
Abiela Wang and
Madison McCarty scored a 6-4 win at three.
In singles, Rotaru played at one and scored a 6-3, 6-2 win, Kim won at two, 6-1, 6-3, and Sandoval Banuelos won at three, 6-0, 6-0.
Evie Snyder won at four, 6-3, 6-2,
Naomi Feltman won at five, 6-2, 6-0, and McCarty won at six, 6-2, 6-1.
UMW will host the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament next Saturday and Sunday.
