The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Washington College (MD), 6-1, on Friday evening in Chestertown, Md. The Eagles improve to 9-4 on the season.
The Eagles gained the doubles point by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim gained a 6-1 win at one,
Sophia Broomall and
Jacey Copeland scored a 6-1 win at two, and
Mady Holman and Sophia Sandoval Banuelos added a 6-4 win at three.
Singles play saw Felts win at one, 6-1, 6-0; Kim win in three sts at two, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4; Sandoval Banuelos win at three, 6-2, 6-2; Copeland victorious at four, 7-5, 6-2; and
Naomi Feltman score a 6-4, 6-3 win at six.
The Eagles will take on 16th ranked Swarthmore College on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
