The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision at 21st ranked Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles slip to 8-5 on the season.
UMW captured the doubles point, as junior
Addison Felts and sophomore
Natalie Kim gained a 6-1 win at one and
Mady Holman and
Sarah Sandoval Banuelos scored at 6-1 win at three.
In singles, Felts posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Lola Diaz at one, and Kim added a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 win at two.Swarthmore scored wins at three through six singles for the win.
The Eagles will be back in action on April 18 when they visit Rhodes College at 10:00 a.m.
