The 34th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision at 15th ranked Washington and Lee University on Saturday in Lexington, Va. The Eagles slip to 5-1 on the season.
UMW started strong, claiming all three doubles matches.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim scored a 7-5 win at one doubles, while
Isabella Rotaru and
Sarah Sandoval Banuelos also scored a 7-5 win at two.
Sophia Broomall and
Jacey Copeland gained a 6-4 win at three for the sweep.
In singles action, Rotaru gained a 6-4, 6-4 win at two singles for the Eagles' second point.
The Eagles will be back in action on March 21 at home against Grinnell College at 11:00 a.m.
