University of Mary Washington Director of Athletics Patrick Catullo announces several additions to the athletic department's administrative team for 2025-26. Longtime coach and administratorÂ
Rod Wood and head athletic trainerÂ
Beth Druvenga have been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director roles, joiningÂ
Lauren Bass, who has been recently named Assistant Director of Athletics for Budget and Finance.
"The promotion of these individuals, along with Drew Delaney and
Clint Often, will strengthen the leadership team", said Director of Athletics Patrick Catullo. "Their combined years of experience in college athletics will be a valuable asset in enhancing the overall operations of UMW Athletics".
Wood, who served as men's basketball coach and then men's golf coach prior to moving to the role of facilities director, gains the role of Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities as a member of the administrative team.Â
Druvenga, who has served as head athletic trainer for five years after beginning at UMW as an assistant athletic trainer for two years, joins the administrative team as Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine/Senior Women's Administrator, gaining the duties of Senior Women's Administrator for the first time.
Bass, who was elevated to Assistant Director of Athletics for Budget and Finance earlier this year, has previously served as the manager of athletic operations at UMW.
