The University of Mary Washington swimming & diving team competed at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational over the weekend, capping the Eagles' fall semester of competition in Lancaster, Pa. The men's team finished second of nine teams, while the women's team finished fifth of 13 teams competing.
Friday highlights:
In the individual events,
Spera Moy-Jacobs had the highest finish on the women's side with a ninth-place finish in the 50-year freestyle (24.33). Meanwhile, the A-relay (Moy-Jacobs,
Soleil Clifford,
Abigeal Higgins, and
Megan Fallin) in the 200 freestyle relay finished second, while the A-relay in the 400 medley (
Audrey Sivak, Clifford,
Christina Korkos and Moy-Jacobs) earned a fifth-place finish.
On the men's side, the A-relay in the 400 medley earned a first place finished of 3:23.60 (Will Burkey,
Johnathan Zimmer,
Tucker Burkey, and
Rece Storer). In the 200 freestyle relay, the A-team of Storer,
Brandon Harvey, Eli Polovichik, and Will Burkey, finished in sixth.
Sam Mahoney (sixth),
Larry Almariento (seventh), and
Thomas Sites (eighth) all earned top-10 finishes in the 500-yard freestyle. Storer, meanwhile, finished in sixth in the 50-yard free

In the 400-yard IM,
Carleigh Dillman earned a seventh place finish, while Moy-Jacobs earned her second top-10 finish with a fourth-place finish in the 200 free. Korkos, meanwhile, added a sixth place finish in the 100-yard butterfly. Clifford added another top-10 with a ninth place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. In the 100-yard backstroke,
Madeline Timmons finishes in sixth. In the relays, the A-relay of Timmons, Clifford, Korkos, and Moy-Jacobs earned a third place finish in the 200 medley relay.

Ihor Birioutchenski earned a third place finish in the same event. Will Burkey finished in 10th in the 100 breast.
Patrick Stern finished in 10th in the 400 IM, while Storer (4th) and
Tucker Burkey (6th) finished top-10 in the 100-yard backstroke. Mahoney added a fifth place finish in the 200 free. Both of the A-relays earned third place finishes on Saturday. In the 200-yard medley relay,
Tucker Burkey, Zimmer, Harvey and Storer finished with a time of 1:32.40, while Sites, Mahoney, Almariento, and Zimmer finished with a time of 6:59.34 in the 800-yard free relay.
Sunday highlights:
In the 1,650-yard freestyle,
Maddie Kryszon finished in 10th with a final time of 18:11.61, while
Nora McMullen added a fifth place finish in the 200-yard backstroke. May-Jacobs picked up another top-10 by finishing fifth in the 100-yard freestyle. Timmons (seventh) and Dillman (ninth) finished in the top-10 of the 100 IM, while Clifford added a seventh place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke. In the 400-yard free relay,
Ann Karr, Timmons, Fallin, and Moy-Jacobs finished in fifth.
In the 200-yard back,
Tucker Burkey earned a third place finish, while Sites finished in fifth. Storer added a ninth place finish in the 100-yard free. Zimmer picked up his second victory in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:01.61), while Birioutchenski finished right behind Zimmer in second. In the 200 fly,

The Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 10 against Catholic in Fredericksburg, Va. The start time is set for 1 p.m.
