The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams each placed in fourth among five schools at the 2025 Cost-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships in Santa, Cruz, California on Saturday afternoon.
The women finished in fourth place with 93 points, as Santa Cruz won the race with 26, followed by Christopher Newport with 53 and Salisbury 70. Regent finished fifth with 153.
Individually, sophomore
Lily Hoffman repeated as an all-conference selection, finishing fourth overall with a time of 21:56.2. Junior
Eyaya Fletcher finished 23rd at 23:33.5, sophomore
Ava Wray was 30th at 24:11.1, senior
Katherine Armstrong 31st at 24:23.5, and sophomore
Addy Wallin 32nd at 24:32.1.
On the men's side, UMW finished fourth with 98 points, behind Santa Cruz with 23, Salisbury 51, and Christopher Newport 70. Regent finished fifth with 151.
Individually, sophomore
Nicholas Smerlis gained all-conference honors with a 16th place finish at 25:35.3, and was followed by senior
Aidan Kimener in 24th at 25:58.2, sophomore
CJ Hulleman in 27th at 26:07.0, sophomore
Morgan Lehocky in 31st at 26:51.1, and senior
Luke Blair in 32nd at 26:51.1.
The Eagles will return to action on November 15 at the NCAA Regional in Salem, Va. at 11:00 a.m.
