Box Score 2 The 24th ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team split a pair of matches at Washingtotn & Lee University on Friday evening, topping Averett University in three games before falling to the host Generals in three games. UMW moves to 4-3 on the season.
In the opener, the Eagles topped Averett, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18. Senior right side
Chloe Crosen led the Eagles with seven kills against two errors, and classmate
Emily Flamm posted six kills without an error in 13 attempts. Senior
Sarah Moore posted six kills against two errors as well.

Lauren Foley scored 16 assists, while junior
Brenna Campbell added 12. Flamm led the way with a career-high eight block assists, while Chrosen and
Libby Potter each posted four. Senior
Hannah Livermon scored a team-high 11 digs.
In the nightcap, the Eagles fell to Washington & Lee, 25-14, 25-17, 25-20. Flamm continued her quality play with 10 kills, with Potter and Moore each adding seven. Foley posted 18 assists and Campbell 11, with Moore leading with 15 digs.
Mary Washington will open its home slate on Saturday against the University of Lynchburg at 1:00 p.m., and Gettysburg College at 5:00 p.m.
