The University of Mary Washington men's basketball team saw four players reach double figures, led by 19 apiece from senior Zack Blue and sophomore Dorian Davis, in an 80-60 victory over Salisbury University on Friday night in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal round at Ron Rosner Arena. The Eagles improve to 17-9 on the season.

The Eagles raced out to a 20-point halftime advantage, shooting 51.9% from the floor. With the score tied at four in the early going, the Eagles went on a 7-0 run, kickstarted by a three pointer from senior Daniel Peterson. Matias Prock (14 points) and Davis followed with jumpers to give UMW an 11-4 advantage with 14:07 left in the first. The lead grewq to double figures on a jumper from junior Trey Pittman with 10:27 remaining (20-9), and consecutive threes from Davis and another from senior Cameron McCravy swelled the margin to 32-12 with 4:22 left. The Eagles led, 42-22, at halftime.

In the second half, the Eagles kept the Sea Gulls at a distance, continuing their hot shooting. Salisbury drew to within 17 with 8:55 left, at 54-37, but would draw no closer down the stretch. 

Blue shot 7-12 from the floor, making 3-6 three point tries en route to 19 points, while Davis made 7-13 overall, including 5-8 threes. Prock scored 14 on 5-9 shooting, and McCravy added 10, making 4-5 shots in all, and 2-3 from behind the arc. Freshman Jay Randall led with eight rebounds.

UMW shot 29-55 from the floor (52.7%), making 11-22 three-point attempts and 11-16 free throws. Salisbury shot 22-55 from the floor (40.0%), making 5-22 three point attempts and 11-19 free throws. The Eagles held a 36-33 advantage in rebounds.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newport on Saturday night in the C2C Championship, at 7:00 pm. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
