UMW traveled to Tennessee this weekend to play Lindenwood University who is currently ranked number two in the country. The game was played on a very wet pitch and the rain continued through out the entire match making conditions difficult for both teams. In the first 20 minutes UMW were in control keeping the lions pinned in there 22 with deep kicks and fantastic defensive. But the size of lindenwood became too much. The lions used there size and wet conditions to punch their way through the UMW defence. The game got messer as time went on and UMW just couldn't find a footing to build an attack. UMW's smaller size and speed just couldn't be put to use against a bigger forward pack that thrived in the rain. Final score Lindenwood 39- UMW 0.
