The University of Mary Washington women's swim team edged out Washington & Lee in Manassas, Va. on Saturday afternoon, 139-123.
The Eagles began the individual events with a bang as Maddie Kryszon and
Ashley Dyer finished first and third in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Dyer would go on to finish second in the 500-yard freestyle, while Kryszon finished third.
Spera Moy-Jacobs would then go on to finish first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.73), followed by
Phoebe Root, who placed second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.22) and 200-yard backstroke (2:13.15).
Bridget Zagrobelny found herself back on top of the podium as the senior won the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:07.51 and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.43).
In the 200-yard fly,
Bri Wilson and
Carleigh Dillman placed second and third to add seven more points onto the Eagles' lead. Wilson then finished first in the 100-yard fly (58.56).
In the 50-freestyle,
Soleil Clifford won the event with a final time of 25.03.
Moy-Jacobs and Clifford then went on to finish first and third, respectively, in the 100-yard freestyle.
Zagrobelny, Dillman and
Delaney Humphrey would finished 1-2-3 in the 200-yard IM.
The Eagles are back in action on Thursday at 6:15 against Randolph-Macon in Fredericksburg, Va.
