The Mary Washington women's soccer team (4-3) was unable to overcome a pair of early scores by Bridgewater in a 2-0 loss in Bridgewater, Va. on Tuesday afternoon.

UMW (6), however, was able to keep pace with Bridgewater (9) in shots in the first half with three shots on goal as well. Overall, Mary Washington notched eight shots.

Sophomore forward Kaitlyn Venzen led the team in shots with three -- one of which was on goal.

Sydney Alexander got the start in net, recording a pair of saves on 19 total shots faced.

Mary Washington is back in action on at Lynchburg on Monday, Sept. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
