The University of Mary Washington women's swimming team coasted to a 175-80 victory against Southern Virginia University on Friday afternoon, bringing their record to 10-1. 

The Eagles opened with a win in the 200 medley relay from Phoebe Root, Juliana Bleeker, Macie Williams and Bridget Wilson at 1:58.41. April Groce and Katie Povesac took 2^nd and 3^rd place in the 400 IM at 4:58.50 and 5:12.60, Kinsey Brooks, Ashley Dyer, and Jenny Thompson took 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd in the 200 freestyle with times of 1:59.52, 2:03.65, and 2:03.87. Amber Candido, Thalia Costanza, and Rose McMullen led their respective events in 1st over the next 3 women's events that include top 3 spot sweeps in 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, and 200 butterfly with times of 1:04.37, 1:08.88, and 2:17.24.

Margie Jones and Bridget Wilson took 2^nd and 3^rd in the 50 freestyle with times of 25.96 and 26.54, while Jenny Thompson and Paige Stryker took the same spots, respectively, in the 100 freestyle separated by .24 seconds at 57.37 and 57.61. The trend continued again to take 2^nd and 3^rd in the 200 backstroke, with Phoebe Root and Sarah Yowell touching the wall at 2:15.54 and 2:22.33.

The last top 3 spot swim by the Eagles was found by Bridget Zagrobelny, Ashley Dyer, and Katie Povesac with times of 2:28.03, 2:42.33, and 2:44.54. Delaney Humphrey shined in the 500 freestyle, adding another event win to the Eagles' tally at 5:37.45, with Margie Jones and Rose McMullen placing 1st and 2nd in the 100 butterfly, touching at 1:00.69 and 1:01.46.

Jenny Thomson, Megan Kim, Bridget Wilson, and Phoebe Root finished off the women's individual events in 1^st, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th place for the 200 IM, clocking in at 2:17.15, 2:19.96, 2:22.56, and 2:23.27. Mary Washington finished the meet in the 200 freestyle relay teams taking 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th to finish off the meet with times of 1:41.69, 1:45.35, 1:48.88, and 1:50.45.

The Eagles will be back in action on Thursday as they swim in the METS Championship.
