Washington & Lee Tops UMW Women's Swimming, 175-85

The Mary Washington women's swim team was taken down by Washington & Lee on Saturday afternoon, 177-85, in Lexington, Va.

The women's team start quick with a victory in the 200 yard medley relay to open the meet. Phoebe Root, Bridget Zagrobelny, Bri Wilson and Margie Jones all teamed up for the victory with a total time of 1:49.55, beating W&L by nearly two seconds.

Bridget Zagrobelny won the 100 breast (31.49), beating all of her opponents by more than three seconds, and then the 200 breast (38.41). She then capped off her day with a 200 IM win with a total time of 2:15.35.

The Eagles are back in action next weekend at Lynchburg on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
