Box Score The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at 17th ranked Messiah University on Saturday night in Mechanicsburg, Pa. The Eagles slip to 0-2 on the season.
The Eagles and Falcons battled through a scoreless first half, but the hosts scored in the 65th minute, and again in the 85th minute for the margin of victory.
Messiah led in shots, 10-3, as well as corner kicks, 6-0. UMW goalkeeper Ally Holden had four saves in net for the Eagles.
Mary Washington will return to action on Wednesday when they host Southern Virginia University at 4:00 p.m.
