The University of Mary Washington volleyball team opened the 2022 season with a 3-0 victory over Randolph-Macon College on Thursday night at Ron Rosner Arena. Game scores were 25-29, 25-19, 25-17.

The Eagles used an efficient attack in the first, scoring 12 kills against two errors in 27 attempts. In the second, the Eagles overcame a bumpy start to pull away for a 25-19 win, and capped the night with a string third in a 25-17 victory.

Junior Jordan Lyons led the Eagles with 10 kills against two errors in 23 attempts, while Chloe Crosen scored seven kills and Krista Rodgers and Caitlyn Burch each scored six kills in the middle. Lauren Foley added 13 assists and Brenna Campbell 12, and Dakota Hansen registered nine digs. 

The Eagles will be right back in action on Friday, as they visit Virginia Wesleyan University for matches with Pitt-Bradford and the hosts at 5:00 and 7:00 pm.
