The University of Mary Washington women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Randolph-Macon College on Thursday night in both teams' 2022 season opener.

The lone score in the contest came just 41 seconds into the game. UMW outshot the Yellow Jackets, 16-8, and held an 8-0 advantage on corner kicks. UMW goalkeeper Ally Holden made three saves on the night. 

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they visit 17th ranked Messiah University at 7:00 p.m.
