Box Score The University of Mary Washington volleyball team defeated Lynchburg College in three sets in the opening match of the UMW Invitational on Friday to improve to 6-0 on the season. Game scores were 25-17, 25-13, 25-20.
The Eagles used 12 kills in 17 attempts from freshman Dani Fiore and 10 kills in 18 attempts from freshman Kyla Foss, who also had nine digs. Sophomore Emma Olson added 30 assists, and sophomore Caroline Porco led with 15 digs. Fiore and junior Emma Murphy each had three service aces.
The Eagles will return to action at 8 p.m. this evening, when they face 11th ranked Eastern University.
