The University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday in Newport News, Va. The Eagles dropped three-set matches to Juniata College as well as Christopher Newport University.

The Eagles fell to Juniata, 25-22, 25-12, 25-17. In that match, Kaitlynn Wickersham led the Eagles with six kills, three aces and 12 digs, while Katie Shiflett added 15 assists and five digs. Emily Shea had 22 digs for UMW.

UMW then fell to CNU, 25-15, 25-16, 25-11. The Eagles saw Wickersham post six kills and 11 digs, while Karissa Herrick scored six kills and three blocks. Shiflett had 20 assists and Shea 16 digs for the Eagles.

Mary Washington will return to action on Wednesday when they visit Frostburg State University at 7:00 p.m.
