The Eagles sprinted out to a 40-21 halftime advantage, shooting 43% from the floor while limiting Salisbury to 28% in the opening 20 minutes. The Eagles used a 15-4 run to extend its lead from 23-14 to 38-18 with 3:38 left in the half as the catalyst for the 40-21 halftime advantage.
In the second half, UMW shot 46% to keep the lead at 20-plus points. The Eagles caused 18 Sea Gull turnovers. Freshman
Aby Diop (Springfield, Va., Annandale) added 10 rebounds for UMW. Salisbury was led by Glen Charlton's 14 points.
Mary Washington will return to action on Saturday when they visit York College at 4:00 p.m. for another CAC contest.
