The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team completed day two of the 2026 UMW Kickoff classic on Sunday, against Johns Hopkins, George Mason, and Longwood.
Senior
Evan Fisher went 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles, while sophomore
Ryan Gipner won a pair of singles matches.
Will Fromherz and
Matt Scott won a pair in doubles, while Scott added three singles wins as well. In all, the Eagles won 16 singles matches, as well as five doubles matches. UMW will return to action on October 1, hosting the ITA Southeast Regional at the Hegmann Family Courts.
