The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team posted a strong day one at the UMW Kickoff Classic, played at the Hegmann Family Courts.
UMW took three of the top four doubles matches against George Mason today and went 3-3 on the day.

In the singles,
Ryan Gipner,
Matt Scott,
Evan Fisher, and
Cooper Lehman had strong days going 2-0 versus Johns Hopkins and Longwood players.
Trevor Rein,
Ayaan Choudhary,
Mei Yecheng, and
Will Fromherz also picked up singles wins. On the day, the Eagles were 14-7 in singles.

The squad will be back in action tomorrow with another round of singles and two rounds of doubles.
