The 26th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to 36th ranked Christopher Newport University on Sunday morning in the 2026 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship. The Eagles slip to 13-7 on the season.
CNU gained the doubles point with wins at one and three. The Eagles scored a win at two, as
Jacey Copeland and
Sophia Broomall won,6-1.
In singles, number one
Addison Felts scored a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Kylie Schaefer to even the match, but the Captains gained wins at two and six to lead, 3-1. Three matches went to third sets, with CNU scoring a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win at five for the team win.
