#15 UMW Men's Tennis Falls at #5 Case Western in NCAA Tournament 3rd Round

Box Score The fifth ranked University of mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision at fifth ranked Case Western Reserve University on Sunday afternoon in the third round of the NCAA Division III Tournament in Cleveland, Ohio. The Eagles finish the season with a record of 21-7.

UMW dropped the doubles point, despite a win from juniors Asher Willenborg and Trevor Rein at one, as they defeated Bryce Ware and Trey Lambright, 6-4.

In singles, Case Western won at two, five and six. Willenborg was up a set at one, and Jack Riordan and Ryan Gipner both split sets when the match was abandoned due to clinching point reached.

The Eagles' 21 victories this season mark the most wins in a season for the team since 2019, when they reached 23 wins and also advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
