The 23rd ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated Cedarville University, 6-1, on Wednesday night at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. The Eagles improve to 8-1 on the season.
The Eagles dropped the doubles point, but did score a 6-3 win at two, as
Trevor Rein and
Eli Campbell were victorious. The Eagles then swept the singles flights, as
Cooper Lehman won at one, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7,
Ryan Gipner won at two, 6-1, 6-1,
Ryan King won at three, 6-3, 6-4, and Campbell won at four, 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.
Rithik Manchala won at five, 6-2, 6-2, and
Albert Vladimirskiy won at six, 7-6 (10), 6-4.
UMW will be back in action on Thursday when the Eagles face John Carroll University at 2:30 p.m.
