The University of Mary Washington swim & dive program took down Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon in Lynchburg, VA. The men's team beat the Hornets, 141-121, while the women's team won by a wider margin, 156-106.
Men's highlights:
- Sam Roundtree and Johnathan Zimmer earned a pair of individual first place finishes as Roundtree finished first in the 100 breaststroke (58.69) and the 100 free (47.85). Zimmer added a second place finish in the 200 IM and the pair finished second in the 200-medley.
- Rece Storer finished in first in the 50-free (21.61), adding a second place finish in the 100-free and was part of the 200-medley relay as well.
- Tucker Burkey earned wins in the 200 backstroke (1:57.17) and the 200-IM (1:58.88), while finishing second in the 100-backstroke.
- Thomas Sites finished second in the 200-backstroke and third in the 100-backstroke. Meanwhile, Larry Almariento finished second in the 500-free and third in the 200-free.
- Brandon Harvey added a third place finish in the 100-free, while Eli Polovchik finished third in the 50-free.
Women's highlights:
- Spera Moy-Jacobs earned a victory in the 100-free (54.33) and in the 200-medley relay. Meanwhile the sophomore added a second place finish in the 200-free and the 500-free.
- Carleigh Dillman finished in the first in the 1,000-free (11.29:09) and second in the 200-fly and 200-IM.
- Soleil Clifford put up victories in the 100-breaststroke (1:07.23), the 200-breaststroke (2:30.27), and in the 200-medley relay. Too, she added a third place finish in the 200-IM.
- Nora McMullen finished first in the 200-back (2:16.02) and was a part of the winning 200-medley relay, while adding a third place finish in the 100-back.
- Ann Karr added a win in the 100-backstroke (1:02.16) and a second place finish in the 100-free.
- Maddie Kryszon finished in first in the 500-free, while Marina Klein added a second place finish in the 1,000-free.Â
- Sarah Green finished second in the 200-yard back, while Bryar Laine finished third in the 1,000-free and Arianna Portella added a third place finish in the 200-free.
- Audrey Sivak added a pair of third place finishes in the 100 and 200-fly.
The Eagles are back in action at Marymount on Friday at 5 p.m.
