The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team opened the 2025-26 season at the primarily-Division I Navy Invitational this weekend.

In singles, UMW finished with a 10-7 record. Matt Scott and Ryan Battaglia went 3-0 in singles, and Will Fromherz finished 2-0 in singles. 

Doubles highlights included Riordan and Battaglia going 3-0, and Trevor Rein and Evan Fisher finishing 2-1 on the weekend, as the Eagles went 6-3 in doubles overall.

The Eagles will host the UMW Kickoff Classic next weekend at the Hegmann Family Courts.
