The 17h ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team split a pair of matches on Saturday, falling 6-1 to #16 Swarthmore and defeating Pfeiffer, 6-0, at the Hegmann Family Courts. The Eagles move to 12-6 on the season.

In the Swarthmore match, the Eagles dropped all three doubles matches, before senior Brock Ladehoff gained the Eagles' lone point at two singles over Max Lindstrom, by a score of 6-1, 6-2.

The Eagles rebounded wih a 6-0 win over Pfeiffer University. UMW scored doubles wins at all three doubles flights, as Trevor Rein and Matt Scott defeated Mathius Dessureau and Benedikt Pfeiffer at one, 6-2; Drew Campbell and Will Fromherz topped A. Mukhambetov and Jayden Wellman at two, 7-5, and Keldibek Kozhoev and Albert Vladimirskiy downed Bogdan Stan and Andres Valdez-Arze at three, 6-1.

Singles play saw King defeat Benedikt Pfeiffer at one, 6-4, 6-3, Scott defeated Mukhambetov at three, 6-2, 6-0, and Ryan Meyer topped Andres Valdez-Arze at four, 6-0, 6-1. Kozhoev (UMW) beat Bogdan Stan at five, 6-3, 6-1, and Aidan Meehan bested Justin Giesbrecht at six, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5).

The Eagles will return to action on Friday at Berry College at 3:00 p.m.
