The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Barton College, ranked 42nd in NCAA Division II, on Monday. The Eagles slip to 14-8 on the season.
The Eagles dropped the doubles point, 2-1, but scored a win at two, as
Matt Scott and
Will Fromherz scored a 6-2 win over Johan Holgersson and Hampus Wik. The Eagles dropped a 6-2 decision at one, and 6-3 at three.
The Bulldogs carried all six singles wins, but UMW #1
Trevor Rein took his match to a super breaker, before falling, 7-5, 5-7, 10-6.
The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday at 34th ranked North Carolina Wesleyan College at 4:00 pm.
