The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at 31st ranked Sewanee on Saturday afternoon in Sewanee, Tennessee. The Eagles slip to 13-7 on the season.
The Eagles dropped the doubles point, but did score a win at three, as
Will Fromherz and
Matt Scott scored a 6-4 victory over Talman Ramsey and Drew Rukavina. The Eagles fell at one and two by 6-03 scores, and headed to singles, trailing 1-0.
UMW gained a point at two singles, as senior
Brock Ladehoff gained a 7-6, 6-4 win over Andre-Remi Jakobi, but fell in several other tight matches on the day.
The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference foe Salisbury University at 3:30 p.m. at the Battleground.
