The 19th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team swep a 7-0 decision at Berry College on Friday afternoon in Mt. Berry, Ga. The Eagles improve to 13-6 on the season.
UMW started by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Trevor Rein and
Jack Riordan claimed a 6-0 win a one over Noah Koch and Leo Nedkov, and
Drew Campbell and
Evan Fisher topped Jake Chapman and Aiden Benoualid at two, 6-1. At three,
Will Fromherz and
Matt Scott downed Jace Goode and Bohdan Higley at three, 6-1.
In singles play, Rein defeated Koch at one, 6-1, 6-3,
Brock Ladehoff topped Chapman at two, 0-6, 6-2, 10-6, and Fisher defeated Nedkov at three, 7-6, 6-3.
Ryan King topped Benoualid at four, 6-0, 6-3, Riordan downed Goode at five, 6-1, 7-5, and Ryan Myer beat Higley at six, 6-4, 6-3.
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday at Sewanee University at 10:00 a.m.
