The 27th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a tight 4-3 decision at Chapman University on Sunday afternoon in California. The Eagles fall to 3-1 on the season.
The Eagles claimed two of three doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
Addison Felts and
Natalie Kim gained a 6-4 win at one over Alexis Golin and Lucy Erickson, and
Sophia Broomall and
Jacey Copeland scored a 6-4 win at two over Sydney La and Malina Dahms.
In singles, Felts scored a 7-5, 7-5 win at one over Golin, and Kim recorded her second win of the day with a 6-3, 6-4 win at two over Erickson.
The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday when they visit Caltech at 6:00 Eastern time.
