The University of Mary Washington men's swim and dive team took down Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster, Pa., 158-104, on Saturday afternoon.
To begin the individual events,
Larry Almariento took the victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:29.59. Then he finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with
Sam Mahoney and
Brandon Harvey finishing behind him in second and third.
In the 100-yard backstroke,
Tucker Burkey finished in second, then Will Burkey placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (59.83).
In the 200-yard butterfly,
Johnathan Zimmer finished in first (1:58.19), while
Evan Shelton finished in third. Meanwhile in the 50-yard free,
Rece Storer finished in first (21.68), then he took the win in the 100-yard freestyle (48.09).
Will Burkey then finished first in the 200-yard backstroke, while
Kyle Johnson finished in second. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Zimmer finished in second then
Ihor Birioutchenski finished in third. In the 500-yard free,
Thomas Sites finished in first (5:01.92), while Almariento finished in second with Mahoney in third.
Will Burkey finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (52.30) and Zimmer finished first in the 200-yard IM (2:01.07).
The Eagles are back in action on Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. against Frostburg State in Fredericksburg.
