The University of Mary Washington men's swim & dive program took down Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon, 175-87, in Fredericksburg. Va.
The Eagles started the meet off with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay as
Patrick Stern, Dan Rojas,
Brandon Harvey, and
Rece Storer took the win. Next, in the 1,000-freestyle relay,
Thomas Sites finished first with a time of 10:43.72, while
Nathan Walker finished in third.
In the 200-yard freestyle,
Larry Almariento finished first, while
Sam Mahoney finished in second. And in the 50-yard back, Storer and
Tyler Sykes finished first and second. Meanwhile in the 50-yard breaststroke,
Johnathan Zimmer finished in second, whileÂ
Ihor Birioutchenskii finished in third.
In the 100-yard fly, Will Burkey finished in second, while Stern placed in third. In the 50-yard free the Eagles swept the podium as
Brandon Harvey (22.26),
Guenter Kryszon (22.44), and
Eli Polovchik (22.90) finished top three.
In the 100-yard freestyle, Harvey (48.82),
Sam Mahoney (49.67), and Almariento finished in the top three spots. Meanwhile,
Kyle Johnson finished in second in the 100-yard backstroke, while
Nathan Walker finished in third.
Zimmer and Birioutchenskii finished in second and third in the 100-yard breaststroke, while Sites and
Tucker Burkey finished in second and third in the 500-yard freestyle. In the 50-yard fly, Storer finished in first (23.41), while Burkey finished in second.
UMW once again swept the podium in the 200-yard IM when Zimmer finished in first, while Tucket Burkey finished second and Almariento finished in third. And finally in the 200-yard free, Polovchik, Kryszon, Rojas, and Will Burkey took the victory.Â
The Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Franklin & Marshall in Lancaster, PA.
