The University of Mary Washington men's rugby team hosted Mount St Mary's College on Saturday, and filled its second and third sides in preparation for the upcoming game against Army. The game started off slow and UMW having many missed opportunities to score. Freshman Maxi St. Ledger came off of injury list and played his first game for UMW and had multiple breaks but UMW could capitalize on it. The second half was a completely different story, with sophomore
Harvey Payne coming alive in the back field scoring up and setting up fantastic tries. The final score was 40-18.

UMW third side also played Mount St Mary's. And gave the other freshmen and other players returning from injuries to showcasing their skills. Stand out freshmen Isac Hughes showed his strength with multiple line breaks scored in the first half and the second capping off his birthday. Score ended 50-0 to UMW.
The top two sides will visit Army on Saturday at noon.
