The University of Mary Washington equestrian team opened the 2024-25 season on Saturday by tying for high-point honors at the College of William and Mary show in WIlliamsburg.
Kate Howlin placed fifth in open equitation on the flat and second in open equitation over fences, andÂ
Emma Najdzionek took fifth place in intermediate equitation on the flat, and fourth place in intermediate equitation over fences.
Eliza LaViolette gained fifth place in intermediate equitation on the flat, and third place in limit equitation over fences, whileÂ
Annabella Nonamaker won her intermediate equitation on the flat class, and took fifth place in limit equitation over fences.

Olivia Miller won her limit equitation on the flat class, Alexis Neyra finished second in her limit equitation on the flat, and
Anna Wood took fourth in her novice equitation on the flat class.
Miranda Herd was second in her novice equitation on the flat, and she qualifies for regionals in the spring.
Melinda Snow won her pre-novice equitation on the flat class, and
Josiah Schlechty finished second in introductory equitation on the flat, as the Eagles racked up poins from start to finish.
The team will compete at Christopher Newport University on Sunday.Â
