The 18th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated Brandeis University, 6-3, on Friday afternoon in Waltham, Mass. The Eagles improve to 12-4 on the season.

In doubles, the Eagles gained a default win at three, and Rishi Charan Shankar and Peter Leese scored an 8-5 win at one doubles.

Singles play saw UMW gain points at six by default, Artis Hart at three over Hausen Dong, 1-6, 6-0, 6-4, Trevor Rein at four, 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-3 over Aaron Basye, and from Leese at five over Harrison Huai, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.

The Eagles will take on thBabson College on Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
