The University of Mary Washington men's swim team took down Frostburg State in Frostburg, Md. on Saturday afternoon 132-130, to claim their 10th victory in 11 all-time meetings.
Zachary Cherry was the first to finish on the podium in the 200-meter freestyle with a second place finish.
Sam Roundtree (1:00.64) won the 100-meter backstroke, while
Kyle Johnson placed second. Roundtree then went on to win the 100-meter freestyle, while Will Burkey finished in third. Rountree then won his third event of the day in the 100-meter butterfly (58.45).
Johnathan Zimmer took home the victory in the 100-meter breaststroke, meanwhile
Larry Almariento finished second in the 200-meter butterfly. In the 50-meter freestyle, Burkey took home the win (24.83), while Eli Polovchik finished in third.
Johnson and
Patrick Stern finished in second and third place in the 200-meter backstroke. Then, Zimmer took home the victory in the 200-meter breaststroke, and then won once more in the 400-meter IM.
The Eagles are back in action on Friday at St. Mary's (Md.) with the meet set to begin at 5 p.m.
