#15 UMW Women's Tennis Blanks Salisbury, 5-0, in C2C Semifinal on Saturday

The 15th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept a 5-0 decision from Salisbury University in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference semifinal round on Saturday afternoon at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 11-5 on the season, and advance to Saturday's C2C Championship.

The Eagles took all three doubles matches, with Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn winning at one, 8-1, over Veronica Cuellar and Katherine Tamesis. Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino topped Elizabeth Christine and Sarah Dover at two, 8-1, and Hana Kimmey and Emily Beckner won at three, 8-0, over Hannah Carter and Sarah Cooper.

In singles, Coleman downed Dover, 6-0, 6-1, and Quinn won the clincher at three over Tamesis, 6-1, 6-3.

The Eagles will advance to the 2022 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday, and will face Christopher Newport University starting at 11:00 a.m.
